The short version

Use Foundable to build and run a real, lawful business. Don’t use it to hurt, cheat or deceive people, to break the law, or to abuse Foundable itself. This policy is part of our Terms of Service, and if you break it we may limit, suspend or close your account.

Don’t harm people

  • Anything that sexually exploits or endangers children. We may preserve and report apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and law enforcement, as the law requires or allows.
  • Threats, harassment, stalking or publishing someone’s private information.
  • Sexual images of real people without their consent, real or AI-made.
  • Sexually explicit content our AI providers don’t allow.
  • Hate or discrimination based on race, religion, gender, sexuality, disability or similar traits.
  • Promoting or planning violence or terrorism, or praising violent extremist groups.
  • Help making weapons, including chemical, biological, nuclear or cyber weapons.
  • Encouraging suicide, self-harm or eating disorders.

Don’t deceive people

  • Pretending to be another person or company, including deepfakes of real people without consent.
  • Scams, phishing or other fraud.
  • Fake reviews, fake followers or other fake engagement.
  • Disinformation campaigns, election manipulation or misleading political ads.
  • Targeting political messages using people’s sensitive traits, or hiding that political messages sent at scale were made with AI.
  • Forged documents, such as fake IDs, certificates or legal papers.

Don’t break the law

  • Using other people’s copyrighted work, trademarks or other intellectual property without permission.
  • Violating people’s privacy, such as collecting their personal information at scale or building profiles of them without their knowledge.
  • Identifying people by their face or body, reading their emotions, or watching them in ways the law or our AI providers don’t allow.
  • Malware, hacking tools or attempts to break into systems.
  • Selling regulated products or services, such as drugs, firearms, gambling or financial products, without the licenses the law requires.
  • Spam, money laundering, breaking export laws, or dealing with sanctioned people or countries.

Don’t misuse Foundable

  • Getting around limits, security or pricing, for example with extra free accounts.
  • Copying or extracting our software, prompts or models.
  • Reselling Foundable without a written agreement with us.
  • Using Foundable’s output to train a competing AI model or build a competing product.
  • Overloading Foundable, for example with automated traffic or runaway loops.
  • Trying to trick Ted past his safety rules, unless it’s good-faith security research on your own account under our Responsible Disclosure Policy.

Decisions about people

Foundable can’t be the only basis for a decision that seriously affects someone, such as about their health, legal rights, job, credit, insurance, housing, education or immigration status. For decisions like these, a qualified person must review the result and take responsibility for it, and the person affected must be told AI was used. Foundable may never be used for criminal-justice decisions such as sentencing, parole or predictive policing.

Sensitive data

Foundable is built for everyday business information. Unless we’ve agreed in writing, don’t put in health records covered by HIPAA, full payment card numbers, student records, classified or export-controlled information, or personal information about children under 13. To ask about a use like this, email legal@foundable.com.

Our providers’ rules

Ted runs on AI models from providers including OpenAI and Anthropic, so their rules apply too: OpenAI’s Usage Policies and Anthropic’s Usage Policy, and for images, fal.ai’s Acceptable Use Policy, along with the terms of the other providers on our subprocessor list. When you connect a service, such as a social account, email or Stripe, you also agree to follow its rules, and making sure your use of it complies is up to you.

Reporting a problem

If you see something that breaks this policy, email abuse@foundable.com with what you saw and any links. We keep reports confidential where we can.

What we do about it

Depending on how serious it is, we may warn you, limit features, or suspend or close your account. For the most serious problems, such as child safety, threats of violence or ongoing fraud, we may act without warning, keep the relevant records, and report to the authorities or our providers. We cooperate with law enforcement when we receive valid legal requests. We update this policy from time to time, and the date at the top shows the latest version.
